According to the latest buzz around The Mandalorian, Episode 3 is set to be the longest episode yet. Now, given we are on Episode 3, that’s not that high a bar to set. However I’m not referring to Season 3. This, if true, will be the longest episode of Mando overall.
Check it out below.
Great news for mando fans

Just so you know, this source has been right in the past. Ultimately its extremely rare for these episode length reports to be wrong, they just never are. 56 minutes (and 11 seconds) as said above, is pretty long for a Mando episode. The current longest episode was the Season 2 premiere which clocked in around 52 minutes (with credits). As you can see, 56 is a bigger number than 52. Yes, I have string math skills, what can I say? We covered the Season 2 premiere runtime Here.

Whilst episode length is no indication of quality in general, it has been an indicator of quality on The Mandalorian. Normally the longer episodes have stood out as some of the best. They tend to be the ones with the most moving plot points and characters. Though, to be clear there really is no guarantee. I think it’s probably a case of the fanbase being excited by what they saw in Episode 2, ergo, people are hyped for the next one.
Hell, I’m excited to see where Mando goes next week. There was a lot to process in Episode 2, and you can catch my The Cantina co-host Kyle Malone and I get into weeds on it in the related section above.
I genuinely have no idea where the story is going next week, and that’s a fun place to be.
Let us know what you think as Episode 3 is rumored to be the longest episode to date of The Mandalorian? Are you enjoying Season 3 so far? Thoughts below as always.
