The Rise of Skywalker would be debuting in the midst of the first season so a majority of attention was focused on the film. The biggest takeaway is now we know who Din Djarin is searching for at the beginning of the season. While his ultimate goal is to reunite The Child with his own kind, Din now seeks other Mandalorians to help him on his mission. This now explains why characters like Boba Fett, Sabin Wren, and Bo Katan have been linked to this season since production started. All of them are Mandalorians have a past with the Jedi which is who will get The Child back to his people. This also explains why have seen clips of Din Djarin on Tatooine, he is probably looking for Boba Fett.
The second biggest takeaway is that this show has now turned into an ensemble. With so many characters confirmed and rumored for the show it was hard to imagine that it there would be a lot of screen time for Mando. Now from this clip it seems that Mando recruits Greef Karga and Cara Dune for his big mission. This means less screen time of just Mando and The Child and more of secondary characters getting more time to shine. With unconfirmed characters like Ahsoka Tano and Bo-Katan Kryze also rumored to be in this season it seems that The Mandalorian universe is getting to big for just one show.
