We are just under a half a year away from the final installment of the Skywalker Saga, with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Before we all get to experience that film (for better or worse), we will get what will be the first ever live-action Star Wars series in, The Mandalorian.

We learn today that scoring has started on the series, the news was announced by executive producer Jon Favreau via his Instagram account, and features IG-88, an assassin droid seen among the group of bounty hunters in The Empire Strikes Back. You can check out the post below.

For me, everything I’ve seen and read about the series is shaping up nicely and hopefully The Mandalorian will be a springboard to a great finale of the Skywalker Saga. The series will premiere on November 12, and is one of, if not the biggest draw to give Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+.
