Pedro Pascal recently appeared with Ewan McGregor for Variety‘s Actors on Actors video series. In the video he told McGregor that The Mandalorian Season 3 is not yet shooting. You can see this exchange for yourself in the social media post below from Boba Fett Fan Club.

However, what is not clear here, is when this video was actually shot. As yet we do not know? As such, it could be this was shot prior to filming beginning on The Mandalorian Season 3? See, the thing is, we have reliable information I’ve heard from folks I trust that The Mandalorian Season 3 is shooting. Now it is possible that as yet, Pascal himself hasn’t done any filming. However, upon seeing this news, many fans are starting to wonder about all those Mando problem rumors due to the firing of Gina Carrano. Honestly, whilst I can see why that has delayed Rangers of the New Republic, I don’t think it would affect Mando S3 too badly. I could be wrong?
We heard from Mando creator John Favreau that filming would take place this year. Since then we have heard reliably that filming got underway for Mando Season 3 after The Book of Boba Fett wrapped. Therefore, I am not 100% sure where we go with this story for now? It’s also possible that due to secrecy, Pascal was playing coy with McGregor here. Whereas, we do know that McGregor is currently filming the Obi-Wan Kenobi show in LA.
Hard to say for now. All I can say is that I trust those who have said The Mandalorian Season 3 has already begun. Equally though, this is the star of the show, so we have to take his word for now. It is a quandary, but again, since we don’t know when this was actually filmed, it becomes a bit of an enigma.
What do you think of Pascal’s The Mandalorian Season 3 comments? As always, leave any thoughts below.
