Chloe Traico has been in the industry with many films and television projects under her belt. It sparked the idea of a meta concept into a comedy of an aspiring actress making it big under the tutelage of a comeback director in Introducing Jodea.
Although, it doesn’t quite follow her life. The comedy is a hilarious look of turning someone with no talent into a known somebody—and then eventually a love story.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Starring Chloe Traicos (The Righteous Gemstones) and Jeff Coppage (Ava), the riotous rom-com explores how a struggling young actress’s fortunes change when a world famous movie director drives into the back of her car. Desperate, the actress uses the opportunity to beg the star for a role in his latest movie.
Kent Hatch and Ryan Pratton also co-star in the film. John Cohen directed the movie from the script that Chloe Traicos wrote.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with actress and writer Chloe Traicos for the film. We talked about the origination of the concept, acting down, and not directing the project.
Chloe Traicos was born and raised in Zimbabwe until she made a controversial documentary A Stranger in my Homeland in 2005 that painted the country’s leader Robert Mugabe in a different light for his treatment to the Zimbabwean people. She relocated to Australia, in which she made an indie film I Wish I Were Stephanie V, which opened the New York City International Film Festival in 2011. Now, she is in the United States acting in multiple television and film projects.
Introducing Jodea is currently playing in select theaters.
