The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer Description And Release Window

At yesterday’s Star Wars Celebration there was an exclusive The Mandalorian Season 3 trailer and release window. We have a trailer description here for you as this teaser was not published online. Let’s start with the official release window. Like many of us predicted Mando S3 will not make it late- 2022. Instead, the show will premiere in February 2023, No specific date has yet been set in February.

Before the teaser trailer was shown we had Bo-Katan Kryze herself, Katee Sackhoff take the stage alongside showrunners Favreau and Filoni. Of course, this confirmed that Bo-Katan returns in Season 3, and perhaps in a big way once you hear the trailer description below. LRM had boots on the ground at Celebration, but it wasn’t me. I have however seen The Mandalorian Season 3 trailer myself, so what I describe below is accurate. As for where you can find this trailer to watch, I could not possibly comment. However, I assure with that with endeavor you will find the potato quality footage you are looking for.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer Description

The trailer begins with the familiar Mando theme, then the man himself walking. The Armorer talks to Mando about removing his helmet, Grogu is present. ‘You are no longer Mandalorian’ she tells him, and that redemption is ‘no longer possible since the destruction of Mandalore’. We then see Bo-Katan on what looks like a throne and Mando walking towards her. She asks where he was during the purge?

We move to a new planet where Mando meets again with Greef Karga who has some sick new clothes. The trees have the same creatures as Salacious Crumb on them, from Return of the Jedi. We also see that Rebel pilot who keeps showing up in The Mandalorian. He seems to be on that same planet as Karga. There are some quick cuts of what happens here and it looks tense. Then  we cut back to Bo-Katan and Mando, who tells her that he is going back to Mandalore to be forgiven for his transgressions. Some more quick cuts follow that show a space battle as well as Doctor Pershing once again. Bo’Katan looks out her throne room window at, something? Mando is in the space battle being chased in his new ship. Then we see several Mandalorians stalking some prey in another location.

Finally we have a helmeted Bo-Katan in action alongside Grogu, she turns to Grogu and asks, “did you really think your dad was the only Mandalorian?”

The trailer didn’t give too much away about the plot. All of the returning characters we saw were expected. However, I got the feeling that Bo-Katan may be in more of an antagonistic role this season. I am not alone in imagining that either as many other fans who were in attendance thought the same thing.

Intriguing, and also rather annoying that this one trailer was kept as a Celebration exclusive, whilst the others were also released online. When will everyone get to see it? No idea, hopefully within a week or two at most. For now the rest of us have to put up with searching the dark corners of the net for the potato quality version. Tricky as Lucasfilm keep finding it and purging it as they pop up. But you’ll find a way.
