According to the latest Barside Buzz, The Mandalorian Season 4 is to film in February 2024. The news comes from the folks over at Bespin Bulletin who have a decent hit rate for Star Wars news, especially when it comes to Mando. Season 4 really should have already been underway, but those strikes delayed everything. Here is what the outlet had to say:
‘According to at least two sources, The Mandalorian season four is gearing up to start filming sometime in February. It could be very late January, but February seems more realistic from what I’ve been hearing for a number of weeks. I don’t know how long filming is set to last on the fourth season, but if it follows the production of The Mandalorian season three, it’ll likely film for six months, meaning it would wrap by August. I’ve been hearing the February start for a number of weeks and though things could well easily change, as of the time of writing, I’m hearing a February start.’
So not 100% on the exact date but confident it will be filming by February. The outlet also goes on to speculate that Mando Season 4 will be released sometime in 2025. Erm, you don’t say? Yeah, it’s 2025, but when in 2025 we cannot say. If the show is filming till August, then it could realistically be earlier half of 2025.

As for what to expect in The Mandalorian Season 4, we have no leaks, or rumors yet. Hardly a surprise given that most leaks happen during filming. However, both Bespin and MSW have heard that we should not expect it to feel like a sequel to Ahsoka.
Much as this is one connected Universe, I still think the series are on their own paths for now. That path will cross eventually for sure, there are plan for a movie. However, I think that will be farther down the line.
