The Marvels wraps principal photography. The Captain Marvel sequel, will also act as a sequel to both WandaVision (Monica) and Ms Marvel (Kamala) and see these three teamed up in some way to fight unknown threats. Though rumors are the Kree are involved again and this would be a mostly cosmic adventure. That all remains to be seen for now. Check out a social media post of an Instagram post below confirming The Marvels wraps.

As you can see the Instagram posts confirm The Marvels wraps principal photography. As per all Marvel movies there will be scheduled reshoots, probably some time next year. The Marvels is currently set for release February 17th, 2023. The release date for The Marvels has already moved twice due to various production shuffles so it is not expected to move a third time.
We don’t know yet whether any characters from Captain Marvel will reprise their roles? There are rumors of Jude Law, and Lashana Lynch reprising their roles. However with one pretty much easily defeated and the other very much did in the timeline of The Marvels who can say if these are legit or not?

I genuinely have almost no idea where The Marvels could be heading as a storyline. Back in my comic reading days, Captain Marvel was called Miss Marvel. I think? There was no Ms Marvel, nor any Photon. I guess I’m going to be like a blank canvass in that the version of these characters I will know first are the MCU versions. That’s been true of one or two other characters that have showed up in the MCU thus far. I like Carol, I like Brie as Carol, but I was not a huge fan of Captain Marvel as a movie. Also, I like what I’ve seen of Monica so far, and as yet still to see anything of Kamala Khan.
I hope The Marvels is a great movie, I guess we have just over a year until we find out?
