Will Smith is one of my favorite actors. I have supported his endeavors ever since Fresh Prince and only feel burned a few times… The actor was a huge name in the 90s with films like MIB, Independence Day, and Wild Wild West. His mix of action, sarcasm, and slapstick comedy made for great family fun at the summer theater. His recent track record hasn’t been as great though. After trying to do things differently, experiment with films starring his kids, and going for serious dramas, Smith is set to return to his 90s form with Spies In Disguise.
The film sees Smith as Agent Lance Sterling tracking a baddie with the help of tech wizard Walter Beckett, played by Tom Holland. The animated film feels very much like a MIB style action comedy with a touch of the Despicable Me franchise. The movie is directed by Nick Bruno and Troy Quane and will also star Reba McEntire, Karen Gillan, and Ben Mendelsohn. It hits theaters on Christmas day this year.
