I would estimate that I’ve 9,986,000 minutes of The Office. Ok, so I went to a time calculator and no, I’ve not watched that much of the show. Though I have watched the series several times. One of the few American adaptations that turned out to be as good, or I would even say better than the original (I love The Office U.K. as well but in a different way).
Over the last year or so there’s been bits and pieces of interviews with the cast and a few of them have mentioned they would be up for a reunion though nothing is planned, yet. Until then we Office fans can enjoy a mini-reunion between Steve Carell, who played Regional Manager, and Rainn Wilson who played Assistant TO the Regional Manager Dwight K. Schrute. The show is still immensely popular and over the last few years has provided the Internet with some fantastic meme templates. For me, The Office is the television version of comfort food. I love it, all of it. Even the seasons after Steve Carell left the show. Sure, if you tell me the seasons with Michael Scott aren’t quite as good as the seasons with him, I’m not going to argue. However, they in no way do a disservice to the show (looks over at Season 8 of Game of Thrones) Besides, the show continuing after Michael Scott left, allowed for Michael Scott to come back for Dwight’s wedding. The pair’s initial exchange is one of the best scenes in the entire run of the series.
