The Predator Trailer: Shane Black’s Latest Entry Looks Like An Entertaining, Violent Thriller

Holy crap, has this movie not come out yet? It feels like we’ve been talking about Shane Black’s upcoming Predator sequel for practically forever, and yet we’ve had almost nothing to show for it in the years of waiting. About a month ago, we got a teaser, but that really didn’t do much to tell us about what we could expect, nor did it sate my appetite.

Now, 20th Century Fox has finally released the full trailer for The Predator, and while it does seem like a lot more of what we’ve come to expect from the franchise, I’ll be damned if this doesn’t look like one hell of an entertaining ride nonetheless. In keeping with the trend of R-rated trailers, this one sports a few choice swear words and a bit more blood than you’d normally get in your average trailer, which does help sell this as a hard-R flick. While it does look entertaining, I do wish they kept that second Predator a secret, but them’s the breaks.

Below is the official trailer for The Predator:

“From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.”

The Predator stars Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, Yvonne Strahovski, is writtten by Fred Dekker & Shane Black, and is directed by Shane Black.

The Predator hits theaters on September 14, 2018.
