The Punisher series hit the streaming service a couple weeks back, and already it looks like it’s been proven to be a solid gamble for both Marvel and Netflix

According to the official Twitter account for The Punisher, the Netflix series has been officially renewed for a second season!

Interestingly enough, The Punisher is a series that seemed to have a lot less social media buzz taking place after its release. While many Netflix shows have about a week or two of discussion online, The Punisher almost seemed to fall completely off the proverbial cliff after its first week.

That being said, I’m happy to hear that it’s been renewed. Frank Castle has always been one of the most interesting character in the Marvel/Netflix universe, and being able to see them explore his story even more in future seasons is a great thing.

Additionally, this seems to solidify the idea that, despite Disney getting their own streaming service, the Marvel/Netflix shows are pretty safe where they sit.
