The Twilight Zone: Dive Into These New Episode Trailers!

I hate you, CBS All Access. I hate you for making a seemingly mediocre, over-priced service and then dropping something like The Twilight Zone on it, basically forcing my hand in shelling out the money to experience it. They recently dropped a trailer for the entire series, and as cool as that is, I was really hungry to see what else they had to offer for the individual episodes. Now, we have an idea of what that is.

Above, you can see the trailer for the episode “The Comedian,” starring Kumail Nanjiani and Tracy Morgan. In the episode, Nanjiani looks like he’s made a deal with the devil to achieve fame as a comedian. For me, the real kicker here is when Jordan Peele comes on and says “Next stop, the Twilight Zone.” It’s not mimicking Rod Serling, by any means, but there is a definite eeriness he brings to it.

But that wasn’t all we had to see.

The next trailer, which you can see above, we have “Nightmare at 30,000 Feet,” which is a reimagining of the classic episode starring William Shatner called “Nightmare at 20,000 feet.” In that episode, Shatner’s character saw a gremlin on the wing, but with this take, it looks like Adam Scott’s character’s fear is internalized a bit more. I’m not sure what the external danger here will be, but it does look engaging.

What do you think of these new trailers, and how perfect is it that with Us just hitting theaters, that Jordan Peele has officially branded himself as a master of horror?
