In the final comic book convention appearance for a few of The Walking Dead cast members, the panel presents as a final farewell and possibly a new welcome for the spin-off series The Walking Dead: Dead City.
Alas, zombies will never remain dead forever.
The panel featured the Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead Universe, Scott M. Gimple, on a Saturday night at New York City Comic-Con. Cast members Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Lauren Ridloff, Eleanor Matsuura, Paola Lazaro, and Michael James Shaw were present at this panel.
During the panel, the panelists revealed the look to the opening minutes from Sunday’s new episode of The Walking Dead (Episode 1118) and new photography from Episode 119, airing next Sunday, October 16.
Additionally, cast members Cohan and Morgan released new images from their spin-off series, The Walking Dead: Dead City, which premieres on AMC and AMC+ next April.
It’s fitting that the reveal of The Walking Dead: Dead City was at New York City Comic-Con since the set features the apocalyptic backdrop of New York City as it had been shooting in New Jersey for the past few weeks. Friday Night Lights star Gaius Charles was announced in April as part of this cast.
Of course, more The Walking Dead spin-offs are on the horizon, and they have not revealed any first-look photos or teasers for those projects.
