The Walking Dead: World Beyond | A Conversation With Gissette Valentin About The CRM [Exclusive Interview]

We are well into the second season of The Walking Dead: World Beyond on AMC and AMC+. This week is the release of the fourth episode titled, “Family Is A Four Letter Word”. In case you haven’t been following this series, it takes place in Nebraska ten years after the zombie apocalypse. It focuses on four teenagers Iris and Hope Bennett, Silas, and Elton. They leave the safety of their community to go out on a mission to find Iris and Hope’s father. It has been interesting to see them grow outside the community. Where they have had to put things they have learned in theory to practical use.

One part of The Walking Dead universe that has been expanded in The Walking Dead: World Beyond, is the Civic Republic Military or CRM. An organization that was introduced in the eighth season of The Walking Dead. Also then appeared in seasons five and six of Fear The Walking Dead. In this current series, they actually serve as the primary antagonist.

To get to know their personnel a little better, LRM Online’s Emmanuel Gomez spoke with Gissette Valentin. She has a recurring guest star role on The Walking Dead: World Beyond as Corporal Diane Pierce. She tells us about Pierce and what we can expect from her in the series. One interesting thing she shares is the backstory she created for her character. Please note that this is not her character’s official background, just the story she used to help her get into character. At one point she also asks questions which made for an overall fun conversation. You can check it out below!
