The Walking Dead: World Beyond | Aliyah Royale Talks About Iris’ Growth From Season One [Exclusive Interview]

The Walking Dead: World Beyond

The second and final season of AMC’s The Walking Dead: World Beyond premieres tomorrow night on AMC. This series has been a great companion to the rest of the Walking Dead franchise. The perspective of teenagers has been great to see. Furthermore the perspective of teenagers that have decided to venture off on their own.

It has been very interesting to see how they handled things like killing their first walkers. Or creating moments where they think they are safe because of their inexperience. Along the way in the first season of The Walking Dead: World Beyond we have seen them grow so much. In season two they are going to have to use all of their recent life lessons to survive.

One of the characters we met was Iris, played by Aliyah Royale. She is one of the four main characters and sister to Hope. Both of them initiate their voyage to attempt to reach their father. What ends up happening is they form a new family with Elton and Silas.

With the release of the second season of The Walking Dead: World Beyond, LRM Online’s Emmanuel Gomez spoke with Aliyah Royale about her role. She talks about what kind of life lessons Iris has learned in season one. Then she clues us in on how we will see these lessons unfold in this new season. She also shares with us a wonderful story about the bond she shares with co-star Alexa Monsour. You can check out the full interview down below!

Season two of The Walking Dead: World Beyond concludes the epic story of Iris (Royale), Hope (Mansour), Elton (Cantu), and Silas (Cumpston) — four friends who journeyed across the country on a mission that transformed everything they knew about themselves and the world.  As they face off against the mysterious Civic Republic Military and fight for control of their own destiny, goals will shift, bonds will form and crumble, and innocence will be both lost and found.

Produced and distributed by AMC Studios, the series is executive produced by Co-Creators Gimple and Showrunner Negrete, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, and Brian Bockrath.

The final season of The Walking Dead: World Beyond premieres on October 3. Stream early now on AMC+.
