Over the past couple of months, we’ve seen the cast round out for Amazon Prime Video’s ambitious series The Wheel of Time. The show is based on the Robert Jordan novel series of the same name, and for years, fans have been hungry to see a television program based on them actually come to fruition. That all comes to an end with this new show, which has officially begun production, as celebrated in a tweet from the official Twitter account.

“Hey, everyone,” showrunner Rafe Judkins said in the Twitter video. “Today is our firs today of principal photography on The Wheel of Time television series, and for all of us, it’s a little bit emotional because it is also quite coincidentally the twelfth anniversary of the author, Robert Jordan’s, passing.
