The Wheel Of Time RT Score Revealed And It’s Fresh – Just

A new The Wheel of Time Season 2 teaser scene is available and has been added to Season 1 on Amazon Prime.

Amazon’s The Wheel of Time RT score has been revealed and its currently sitting at fresh, but only just. To be honest there is not currently a massive amount of reviews for the show submitted so far. Actually as I check this again the score has just gone up to 74% with 19 reviews. When I started prepping this article it was hovering just over 60%. Clearly a few positive reviews have come in recently, but as always, this score could drop back down again, or go up.

Going by some of the reviews I have read I am currently not overly concerned, as a fan of the books. There were many reviewers who seemed intent on comparing The Wheel of Time to early seasons of Game of Thrones. There are definitely some similarities between Game of Thrones and The Wheel of Time, though the latter was published first. If anything there are elements of Game of Thrones which seem to take some inspiration from The Wheel of Time, but done in a darker fashion normally. Yet as a fan of both, I really don’t think comparisons are warranted.

I’d say The Wheel of Time falls somewhere in between high fantasy like Tolkien’s TLOTR and grounded fantasy like Thrones. Another criticism I saw more than once was that the reviewers didn’t full understand the world by the end of Season 1. Now, who can say (unless they read the books first) they truly understood the world of Game of Thrones after Season 1? Of course not. Yes, there are things you won’t understand to begin with. The idea is that by time the show is in Season 3-4, fans will really begin to understand this world and some of its mysteries. Not a valid criticism for me.

There are very few reviews where someone just didn’t care for the show at all. Most thought it was at least enjoyable even if they had some gripes.

I’ve always said, if The Wheel of Time can get to Season 3 it will be a hit. The first book of the series was certainly my least favorite to read. I really didn’t get what the fuss was about after reading The Eye of the World and its that book where Season 1 takes most of its content from. By the time I finished book 4 of The Wheel of Time I was hooked. That’s why I think the show will be a hit if they can get to a Season 3. If The Wheel of Time isn’t a hit by then, I could see it being cancelled and I hope that’s not the case because I hate unfinished stories.

Will this be as big a hit as Game of Thrones? Fat chance! I think Thrones was one of those shows which was right place right time. I definitely think there will be some fans of Thrones who also love Wheel of Time. However some fans of Thrones won’t care for this story, being that it’s a little bit less extreme for the most part.

The Dragon Reviewed Podcast Coming to the GenreVerse Podcast Network

I can’t wait to check out the first three episodes this Friday. And If you want to know what I, a fan of the books, plus two non-book fans thought? Well LRM will be starting The Dragon Reviewed next week. A weekly show reviewing each episodes, or episodes of the show until the finale of Season 1. I, the Camerlyn Seat, won’t be spoiling the story for my two novice Aes Sedai. However I will talk about some changes that have been made, (where I can do so without spoilers). Feel free to check it out whether you are new to the show or not early next week.

What do you think of The Wheel of Time RT score? Are you planning to watch the show when it hits Amazon Prime this Friday? As always, leave any thoughts below.
