The Witcher: Apparently, Henry Cavill Didn’t Use A Stunt Double | SDCC 2019

Look out, Tom Cruise, because it sounds like we have another stunt actor in the making. Of course, the great Tom Cruise is well known for not only doing a lot of his own stunts, but in going to ridiculous lengths to one-up himself with each film, pushing his body and the laws of physics to the limits along the way, in search of the next great thrill.

But it sounds like there’s another actor out there who thinks doing one’s own stunts is pretty darn important. During the Witcher panel in Hall H at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, where LRM Online was in attendance, Henry Cavill revealed that he didn’t have a stunt double.

He went on to say that he felt it was important that when you see Geralt do some big move or stunt that the viewers should feel confident that it’s actually the character doing said stunt, and not just a double. So he put in the extra effort to learn all the fights so they looked as real as possible.

Overachiever.

How do you feel about this? Do you think it was a good idea to let Cavill do his own stunts? Let us know your thoughts down below!
