The Witcher franchise has been very busy this year. The Witcher Season 2 will be streaming on Netflix on December 17. Also, their prequel series, The Witcher: Blood Origin, has begun filming and could be released in 2022. Today, Netflix released the official trailer for The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. Nightmare of the Wolf will be an animated movie that will be released on August 23.
The plot for The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf:
Escaping from poverty to become a witcher, Vesemir slays monsters for coin and glory, but when a new menace rises, he must face the demons of his past.

I loved season 1 of The Witcher and I’m excited to see season 2. Netflix has made some great original series and movies so I trust them. The trailer looked great and I’m looking forward to Nightmare of the Wolf.
Starring in this animated film is Theo James as Vesemir, Lara Pulver as Tetra, Graham McTavish as Deglan, and Mary McDonell as Lady Zerbst. Also, Theo James and Graham McTavish were also cast in another animated project from Netflix, Castlevania, where they starred as Hector and Dracula. Nightmare of the Wolf is directed by Kwang Il Han and produced and written by Beau DeMayo. Also, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich is the showrunner.
