Doesn’t life seem to be like a higher power controlling your destiny? That scenario is portrayed in the film Marionette starring Thekla Reuten.
The film is a thriller in which a child psychologist investigates a young boy who seemingly either predicts or controls events in her life and around the world.
Here is the official synopsis:
In the wake of losing her husband in a seemingly random accident, child psychiatrist Marianne Winter starts life anew in Scotland. There, she begins treating a secretive 10-year-old who claims to control the future through his drawings. When his horrific sketches start coming true, Marianne begins an obsession that will derail her life and reality.
Also, the movie stars Peter Mullen (Children of Men), Emun Elliott (Game of Thrones), and Elijah Wolf (T2 Trainspotting).

LRM Online’s Gig Patta spoke with actress Thekla Reuten on her role in playing the child psychologist Marianne Winter. We talked about the attraction to this production, the child actor Emun Elliott, being in Scotland, the debate on God, and her affinity towards English-speaking productions.
Thekla Reuten worked in internationally critically-acclaimed films, including two Oscar-nominated projects. She arrived with international attention in her captivating role of Lotte in the Academy Award-nominated film Twin Sisters (De Tweeling) back in 2002. As an international star, she participated in several projects across international borders to even star alongside male leads like Gael Garcia Bernal and Daniel Bruhl. In recent years, she had roles in the television series Lucky Man as Isabella Augustine, Marta in Red Sparrow with Jennifer Lawrence, and the villainous role of Jillian Salvius in Netflix’s Warrior Nun.
Marionette is now available On Demand, Amazon, and Vimeo today. It expands into iTunes, Vudu, Fandango, and Google Play on December 3.
