Things Heard & Seen Trailer Has Something Haunting Amanda Seyfried

Being alone in a new old rickety house, it would surely make you see and hear things to the imagination. However, in Things Heard & Seen, there is a bigger darkness that may haunt a woman as she investigates the new place she just moved into.

Based on a best-selling novel by Elizabeth Brandage titled All Things Cease to Appear, the film stars Amanda Seyfried as Catherine Clare, who begins to witness strange occurrences after moving to an old farmhouse in the remote country side.

Other cast members include James Norton, Natalia Dyer, Alex Neustaedter, Rhea Seehorn, Michael O’Keefe, Karen Allen, Jack Gore with F. Murray Abraham, James Urbaniak and Sophia Heger.

Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini directed and adapted the story for the screen.

Here’s the long synopsis:

Catherine Clare (Amanda Seyfried) reluctantly trades life in 1980s Manhattan for a remote home in the tiny hamlet of Chosen, New York, after her husband George (James Norton) lands a job teaching art history at a small Hudson Valley college. Even as she does her best to transform the old dairy farm into a place where young daughter Franny will be happy, Catherine increasingly finds herself isolated and alone. She soon comes to a sense a sinister darkness lurking both in the walls of the ramshackle property and in her marriage to George.

Things Heard & Seen seems to be more of a suspenseful drama and not a horror after viewing the trailer. It’ll definitely keep you guessing on what secrets that the house, neighbors, and the husband are keeping away from the young woman.

The film streams on Netflix on April 29.
