This Batman Set Photo Gives You Best Look Yet At The Batsuit And Batcycle!

It’s always an exciting moment whenever the look of a character is revealed. Not too long ago, we were treated to the first look of Robert Pattinson’s Batman suit. In a neon red-drenched video that panned up the actor’s chest to his face, we saw a fairly armor-heavy take on the Caped Crusader’s Batsuit. Unfortunately, the lighting still left a whole lot to the imagination. Even after cleaning it up, there was still a lot left to be seen from the suit.

Luckily, as you may known, the production of director Matt Reeves’ The Batman is currently underway. This means that it was only a matter of time before set photos gave us unfinished, unpolished looks at what we can expect from this new entry in the DC franchise. And, would you like at that, we have exactly that!

A recent set photo popped up on Facebook, and in it, we see what is clearly a stunt double with the fully-let armor. What’s more is he is seated on a Batcycle. Anyway, CLICK HERE to check out the photo! We’d love to share it ourselves, but you know, legal reasons and all that.

So, what do I think of this thing? Well, it is interesting how less robot-y and tech-heavy it looks than it did in the reveal. More than anything, it looks like legit armored plating, with the breastplate being one solid piece. Don’t take this the wrong way, but it’s almost like a really good-looking paintballing outfit in terms of its functionality. It’s practical and it’s unique — plus the way the neck area is done, it seems like it’d have solid movement. I DIG his forearm guards though.

One noteworthy thing here is the lack of a cape. Matt Reeves will likely be taking a note from the school of Zack Snyder where they’ll be adding in the cape in post-production. But will it only be for specific shots or the entire film? Only time will tell.

And then we have the Batcycle. I don’t know d**k about motorcycles, so I won’t even pretend. That being said, it’s a definite downgrade from the Batpod from The Dark Knight in terms of technology. This one here feels more standard and almost steampunk in its design. That cowl part on the front? Meh. Looks fine.

Of course, as with all set photos, we need to dial back our criticism a bit. For starters, this is just an image of the Batman stuntman under non-ideal lighting in a candid shot. When we see him in context of the film, it’s guaranteed to look better.

That being said, what do you think so far? Let us know your thoughts down below! Are you any more excited for The Batman? Let us know your thoughts down below!
