Actor Thomas Haden Church, probably best known for his role as the lovable, but dim-witted airplane mechanic Lowell on the show Wings, has also appeared as the villain Flint Marko/The Sandman in the concluding chapter of the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man trilogy.

Church recently spoke with JoBlo, and teased that we may seen him back in the world of superheroes soon, though he specified it won’t be with Marvel:

“I’m not supposed to talk about it, but I actually have returned, but not in the Marvel world, it’s another world, but it is in that genre of superheroes and supervillains. I’m not supposed to talk about it, it’s a movie I shot last year. They’re trying to keep it — and good luck to ’em — with, y’know, today man, I’m surprised it hasn’t already kinda been revealed.”

Church certainly said quite a bit about a subject he isn’t supposed to talk about, though he really didn’t reveal any details.

With the level of secrecy Church claims the role to be under, it is likely this isn’t an animated feature, or a video game, so what exactly is going on? At this point, all we can do is speculate, but could it be possible he has a role in one of the upcoming DC films?
