Natalie Portman will soon have the power of Grayskull..wait…that’s not right. Oh, now I remember, she will soon have the power of Asgard as she will be taking up the mantle of The Mighty Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder. She will wield the power of the thunder as the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward. However, as it turns out her powers will be different from that of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor.
Portman recently spoke on The Kelly Clarkson Show and talked about how her powers will vary. You can check it out below.
“So, she does have powers, um it’s not exactly the same as Thor, it’s her own… Version of it, and… She’s called the Mighty Thor.”

It will be interesting to see these new powers that Portman’s version of Thor will display.Also interesting is that Chris Hemsworth says he isn’t done as Thor in the MCU, even with Portman taking over. Personally, I hope this means he is going to join the Guardians of the Galaxy on at least a few adventures, but only time will tell.
I’m also happy to have Portman back in the MCU. I figured with the reception of the first two Thor films (let’s be honest, while Hemsworth is the perfect Thor, those films weren’t the MCU’s best efforts), and her being absent from what is easily the best Thor film in Ragnarok, she wouldn’t be returning. However her return is most truimphant and look forward to her carrying on the Thor name
Thor: Love and Thunder currently had a release date of February 11, 2022.
