Thor: Love and Thunder shoot date is this week according to star Chris Hemsworth. Thor: Love and Thunder is filming in Australia and we have been getting a steady stream of actors turning up Down Under. So far, it seems like all the Guardians of the Galaxy other than Gamora will appear, along with Jane Foster, Valkyrie, Korg, and Meik. Some of those Guardians were not confirmed officially yet, but most recent to do so was Karen Gillan on her Instagram.
Most recently we know that Matt Damon just arrived in Australia with his family. We presume Damon is appearing in this Thor movie, though again no confirmation of his casting has been released. It also looks as though Heimdall will be in Thor: Love and Thunder as actor Idris Elba was also spotted in Australia with director Taiki Waititi. Considering travel is currently restricted for pleasure and only work related reasons it seems highly likely everyone (connected) who has arrived in Australia recently is in the movie.

It certainly looks like we are getting ‘Built Thor’ back this installment. I can’t see Hemsworth having trained that hard to wear the fat suit again. Then again who knows? How much time will have passed in between Avengers: Endgame and Thor: Love and Thunder. For all we know the movie opens with Thor getting dumped on Earth again by the Guardians. Maybe they’ve had enough of his meddling? I’m hoping a bit of time has passed though. Enough time for Thor to have sorted himself out a bit and built a dynamic with some Guardians.
Thor: Love and Thunder is set for release on May 6th, 2022. Well, unless there are any more delays to the MCU movie slate, which I would not rule out. Yet, I can’t help but hope the next few months see a dramatic change in the current Global pandemic. Not sure I believe it will happen though?
