Thor: Ragnarok Honest Trailer Makes Fun Of Marvel’s Drawn-Out Opening Logo

Did you absolutely love the most recent entry in the Thor trilogy? Well, you’re not alone. The movie did incredibly well with both critics and fans, and went on to outperform all the other films in its own franchise. Even despite their ability to break down even the greatest of movies, it’s very clear Screen Junkies enjoyed the flick quite a bit themselves.

In the latest episode of Honest Trailers, they get off to a late start thanks to the ridiculously long Marvel logo, but hit the ground running immediately after. First up, they highlight the radical new formula for the Thor films of “not making them suck.” The way they did it? Pretty much trim all the fat from the series.

Another piece of irony pointed out here is that despite his ability to control lightning, Thor actually spends a good amount of time getting shocked by the implant in his neck. Guess we’re supposed to assume that it’s not just electricity going through it?

One interesting takeaway I had with this one was that with Thor: Ragnarok, Marvel Studios really had the guts to go all-in with the “weirdo,” as the video put it. This is in stark contrast to them letting go of Edgar Wright due to creative differences, and one can’t help but wonder if they’d do it all differently if presented with the same problem today.
