Animated or not, Pixar’s Toy Story films make up one of the best trilogies to come out of Hollywood. It’s also no secret that the franchise will soon have a fourth installment, that hopes to keep up the consistent level of quality the Toy Story films have brought us thus far. The voice of Buzz Lightyear, actor Tim Allen, recently appeared on The Talk and if what he had to say below is anything to go by, Toy Story 4 is going to be a real tearjerker
“Yes, I gotta resist getting emotional. I don’t want to give it away, but this is an incredibly great story. It is so emotional, it’s so funny, it’s so big, the idea they’ve come up with, I’m startled. I couldn’t even get through the last scene. I would love to be a Washington leaker. I just can’t do it. I can’t give any more away. They’ve got great characters but a couple of scenes toward the end were really hard to get through.”

What do the words of Tim Allen mean for fan-favorite characters? While it doesn’t sound good, I don’t think it’s likely that Pixar would kill off Toy Story characters, though characters have died in Pixar movies before, these characters are part of the studio’s flagship franchise and are iconic. What I do hope is that fans get another great entry into the Toy Story franchise.
