Tim Roth On His MCU Return In She-Hulk

Uproxx had an interview recently with Tim Roth on his MCU return in She-Hulk. Whilst we have seen his character, Abomination, appears briefly in Shang-Chi, Roth himself has not been on screen in an MCU film since The Incredible Hulk. That first weird Hulk movie of the MCU feels like an age away now. However it was announced some time ago that Roth would return to play Emil Blonski in the upcoming She-Hulk Disney+ series.

Roth reveals to the outlet it took him by surprise being asked back to the MCU.

“Well, honestly, it totally surprised me. I went in to chat with Kevin Feige and he said, “I’ve got an idea. Come in.” Really? Really? Because the original thing that I did, when I did that first Incredible Hulk movie, was I just did it for my kids.”

“So I was amazed when they came back around and said, “How would you feel about…” And I went, “Yeah. All right!” And we just shot it, I guess in the summer last year or whatever. I think that they’re in post now doing it, so whenever. Bonus, I got to work with Mark Ruffalo. Awesome. Who I love. And I don’t know if I’m allowed to say. Oh, I can say that. But this extraordinary woman, Tatiana…Incredible, that woman. So that was a blast. It was insane.”

Rumors on the Barside Buzz are that Roth is a scene stealer in She-Hulk, but I guess you never can tell if that’s legit or just some fan speculation. As yet we still don’t have a release date for She-Hulk. However it is expected that we will see Roth’s Blonski in the show sometime after both Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight. The latter is next on Disney+ this March 30th.
