In a recent interview Tom Holland hints he’s not yet agreed to make Spider-Man 4, but he’s keen, and talks his Miles Morales hopes for the future. Now, I’m sure Spider-Man 4 is essentially locked down. However, based on his recent comments when speaking with two separate sources, Holland is waiting to see what the plan is first.
First up let’s look at what Holland said recently when speaking with Kevin Polowy.
Tom Holland says he'd be "the luckiest kid alive" if he only played Spider-Man for the rest of his life.
But also doesn't sound like him returning for Spider-Man 4 is a sure thing. "If we can't find a way to compete with the third one, he'll swing off into the sunset.” pic.twitter.com/vEK12tq6b0

Holland said, “If we can’t find a way to compete with the third one, he’ll swing off into the sunset.” referring to his Peter Parker.
However before you worry too much, Holland does remain positive that this will happen. Take a look at Holland’s comments when speaking with Inverse.
“Whether or not it’ll come to fruition, who knows? But right now it’s looking pretty good, and we’ll just have to wait and see.”
I think as far as Sony and Disney are concerned, Spider-Man 4 will happen. However, I don’t blame Holland for wanting to make sure the next one is good as it can be. Holland has previously spoken about some exciting possibilities, which of course we won’t find out about. However, it indicates he is excited by some of what is being pitched for Spider-Man 4.

One possibility Holland is keen for is the inclusion of Miles Morales. Not to say Miles will suddenly show up and be the focus of Spider-Man 4, but Holland appears keen to pass that torch to Miles one day.
“I would be honored to bring Miles Morales into the live action world. How we do that, I don’t know, but given the opportunity, I would jump at it.”
Given we are still in the Multiverse Saga, there definitely is a way for Holland to mentor Miles Morales and then have him switch into the Sony Spider-Man Universe. The SSMU, which I have no interest in, is already now officially another Universe that connects to the MCU. Problem with the SSMU so far has been the lack of Spider-Man. Therefore, if Marvel has Peter, why not have Sony use Miles?
Or, if Holland wants to hang up his webs after another three movies in the MCU, why not end that with Peter passing the torch onto Miles? Of course that would greatly depend on any future deals between Sony and Disney, which my first option would not.
What do you think as Tom Holland hints he’s not yet agreed to make Spider-Man 4 and talks his Miles Morales hopes for the future? Thoughts below as always.
