Tom Holland, who we all know as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the MCU, has been doing a lot of talking due to next week’s Spider-Man: Far From Home release. A lot of what he’s been talking about is what he’d like to see in the future of the MCU, specifically other characters popping up in his film. He’s mentioned teaming up with Spider-Men from past movies, the Hulk (or Professor Hulk now), and Doctor Strange to name a few. None of us fans would be against many of the ideas he’s had but the latest has some people buzzing.
In a recent interview with Fandom the young Wall Crawler mentioned how the multiverse (which despite early thoughts that Mysterio was lying is pretty much confirmed) opens the door to many character possibilities. He specifically mentions Riri Williams, otherwise known as Ironheart from the Marvel Comics.
“Her name’s Ironheart; Rir. She’d be a cool person to bring to the big screen … the multiverse opens up so many doors where we can introduce so many cool new characters like Ironheart.”
With the MCU’s Iron Man dead there have been questions of whether or not Williams will take his place. In the comics, she was inspired by Tony Stark and was the main Iron Man character in the comics for a short stint. With the MCU, anything is possible.
