Toy Story 4: Key And Peele Revealed As Ducky And Bunny In New Teaser

There is a proud tradition in animation for creating teasers that don’t just pull scenes from the film. Instead, they create whole new scenes meant to directly plug the movie, with characters oftentimes even saying the name of the film and even directly addressing viewers. This tradition continues with Toy Story 4.

Just yesterday, we got a reveal teaser for the film, and today, we have a new teaser for two brand-new characters set to join the group, Ducky and Bunny, played by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. The scene shows the two talking about Toy Story 4 before trying (and failing) to remember Buzz Lightyear’s catchphrase from the first film (to infinity and beyond!), only to be confronted by Woody and Buzz later. It’s a cute, albeit hammy scene, but the chemistry of these two actors extends to animation.

“Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, who voice Ducky and Bunny, are two of the most brilliant minds I’ve ever seen,” said director Josh Cooley in a statement. “Of course, they are effortlessly funny, which would be enough. But they are incredible actors that understand story. Their improvs weren’t just for comedy sake, they were story motivated which elevated Ducky and Bunny and the film to a level I never could have expected.”

What do you think of this new teaser, and are you happy they decided to outright address the idea of a Toy Story movie, even though everyone thought they were done? Let us know your thoughts down below!
