Game Of Thrones’ Final Season Will Premiere In April, Video Retrospect Revealed

“When you the play the game of thrones you win or you die.” These words have very much held true over the course of the show’s first seven seasons, and next year, we will finally see this game of thrones reach its bloody conclusion, for better or worse. But when would we be seeing the show shut its doors? That was the eternal question — one that we finally have an answer to.

HBO has finally shown us their hand, and according to a new video from the cable network, the show’s final season will air in April of 2019. Sadly, there is no specific day set yet, but this will be welcome news for many fans. Because of how ambitious this final bow is set to be (with each episode rumored to be feature in length), many thought we’d be around the summertime, so this is a step in the right direction.

Luckily, the video wasn’t just a short release date reveal, but rather a whole retrospective that highlighted some of the show’s key moments. It really drives home just how far things have come, and as a lover of great stories, it’s always rewarding to see the change inherent in any story.
