Toys R Us’ Avengers: Infinity War Merchandise Page Offers Character Bios

With Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War less than two months away. The marketing campaign is well underway. This of course include a wide array of toys and gadgets for kids, everything from action figures to replica Infinity Gauntlets. Toys R Us under their “Movie HQ” banner has put together the merchandise related to the film together under its own category. This also includes some character bios to get people up to date with the characters and the film.

You can check them out here!

The carousel of characters starts off with Captain America. If you have kept up with the prequel book Marvel Comics’ Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War Prelude #1 by Jim Starlin, you know that he has been busy continuing to do what he believes to be right on his own. Next up we have Thanos who is described as “a threat consumed with saving the universe from itself” and noting that it will take the entire ensemble of MCU heroes to try and stop him.

Then Thor is featured, who is still dealing with the effects of losing not only his hammer but his homeworld of Asgard in Thor: Ragnarok, but even with that on his mind, he will still go head to head with Thanos. After that, we take a look at The Hulk, aka Bruce Banner, who according to the bio is still dealing with his identity. But he will have to get it together quick if he is to stand any chance against Thanos.

Black Widow seems to be a renegade on the run according to her bio after the Avengers were disbanded. Last but certainly not least is Spider-Man who is listed as the Iron Spider. Not much is mentioned about him other than a brief description of his abilities and that he will try and stop Thanos.

I find it interesting what characters are missing from the list of Bios. Tony Stark aka Iron Man is missing, as well as Black Panther (granted right now it would be hard to find anyone who doesn’t know who he is), Doctor Strange, Falcon and The Guardians of the Galaxy. Also, let’s not forget the Black Order.

What do you think of the new line of merchandise, and what do you make of the left out heroes? Let us know in the comment section below!

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters April 27, 2018.
