This April comes a new thriller, crime, and action film from Lionsgate titled The Virtuoso. What happens when a professional assassin that used to precision and timing has his mission derailed? These variances in his mission take him down an eye-opening path. One that will lead him to re-think his identity and possibly leave him looking for redemption. Here is the synopsis for The Virtuoso

Danger, deception, and murder descend upon a sleepy country town when a professional assassin (Anson Mount) accepts a new assignment from his enigmatic mentor and boss (Oscar® winner Anthony Hopkins). Given only where and when along with a cryptic clue, the methodical hit man must identify his mysterious mark from among several possible targets, including a local sheriff (David Morse). Meanwhile, a chance encounter with an alluring woman (Abbie Cornish) at the town’s rustic diner threatens to derail his mission in this noir-style cloak-and-dagger thriller.

The Virtuoso is written by James C. Wolf and directed by Nick Stagliano. It stars Anson Mount, Abbie Cornish, Eddie Marsan, Richard Brake, with David Morse and Anthony Hopkins.

This noir-style film looks fantastic. I am excited to see Anson Mount as an assassin as we wait for his return to Star Trek. Also, it is great to see Anthony Hopkins again as a mentor like we have seen in The Mask Of Zorro and Bad Company to name a few.
