Trailer For SON Shows Us How Far A Mother Will Go To Protect Her Son

The relationship between a child and their parent is a bond that is very hard to break. This becomes especially tighter when there is only one parent in the picture. So a common question that always comes up is, how far would you go to protect your son or daughter? Is there a line between their wellness and safety that you would not cross? This is a theme that is explored in the upcoming Shudder and RLJE Film, SON. You can check out their new trailer down below!

Here is the synopsis for SON provided by RLJE Films:

After a mysterious group of individuals breaks into Laura’s home and attempts to abduct her eight-year-old son, David, the two of them flee town in search of safety. But soon after the failed kidnapping, David becomes extremely ill, suffering from increasingly sporadic psychosis and convulsions. Following her maternal instincts to save him, Laura commits unspeakable acts to keep him alive, but soon she must decide how far she is willing to go to save her son.

SON stars Andi Matichak, Emile Hirsch, and Luke David Blumm. It is written and directed by Ivan Kavanagh.

It will be interesting to learn about the mom’s past and the cult she grew up in. Also the question as to why they are back and what she will have to do for them to leave them alone. In order for this to be a succesful film, they are going to need to do a good job giving us the puzzle pieces to put together what hopefully is a fantastic story.
