Like it or not, the Autobots are returning in the fifth entry of Michael Bay and Paramount’s TRANSFORMERS series, subtitled THE LAST KNIGHT. As of right now, specific details regarding the plot are unknown, but if the recent tweet from Bay is any indication, it sounds like the Combaticons will be involved this time around.

In the tweet, Bay showed a photo of a big rig that he pegged as the character of Onslaught.

The photo came with the following caption from Michael Bay: "Nothing can prepare you for Onslaught"

Admittedly, my TRANSFORMERS knowledge only goes so far, but I do know that Onslaught is the name of the Combaticon (who are a unit of the Decepticons) leader who prefers to use his mind over sheer brute force.

Beyond that, it’s unknown what the reveal of this character means for the film. Earlier this year, it was revealed that MEGATRON WOULD BE RETURNING to the franchise in THE LAST KNIGHT. Will the Combaticons make up his goons set to carry out his evil plans? We’ll have to wait and see.

TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT hits theaters on June 23, 2017.
