Sam Worthington stars in another action-packed thriller with Transfusion as a former veteran, who is trying to reestablish his relationship with his estranged son. Instead, he must save his son by agreeing to conduct an operation for a criminal organization.

The film also stars Phoebe Tonkin (Tomorrow, When the War Began, H20: Just Add Water) and Matt Nable (Riddick, Arrow). Nable also wrote and directed the movie.

To protect his son, an ex-special forces operative (Sam Worthington) plunges into the criminal underground for one final mission in this muscular, emotionally charged thriller.

Despite Sam Worthington’s very busy Avatar schedule, he still managed to squeeze an indie project into his calendar. This film seems to be more of a drama as former veteran tries to rekindle his relationship with his son. Obviously, the bad guys always manage to put a wedge into that relationship.

Transfusion is in select theaters, VOD, and available digitally on March 3.
