New organized sports are on the rise.
In the past few years, new organized spectator sports, such as Project B (women’s basketball, softball, pickleball, and even a future all-women’s baseball league), have been gaining popularity.
In high school sports, a seven-versus-seven football league is getting off the ground, as showcased in the documentary Trillion Boys.
Trillion Boys charts the meteoric journey of an elite high school 7v7 football team’s development, following an aspiring teen athlete playing for his family, a defamed coach seeking a fresh start, and two young team owners striving to make a name for themselves both on and off the field.
