In just a couple of months, winter will have come. The Night Walkers will have (presumably) been defeated, and a more permanent monarch will sit atop the Iron Throne (assuming it’s not destroyed). Game of Thrones a journey TV audiences have gone one for nearly a decade now, and a journey that novel readers have been waiting to see conclude for nearly three decades (good Lord, how old am I?). So, it goes without saying that it’d be getting quite a lovely sendoff.
After all, HBO has been profiting off this show ever since it started airing, and even after it’s done, they will be putting out the prequel series, which will likely hit their service next year. So, it’s in their best interest to really capitalize on the great journey audiences have gone on. But what’s the best way to do it? Why not put out a nice little documentary? That’s exactly what they’ll be doing, TheWrap reports.

If you’re hoping for a doc that chronicles the show as a whole, you’re in for a disappointment, though. Instead, it sounds like this will dive into the making of the final season. The program comes from Jeanie finally, who was reportedly embedded on set for the season’s production, “chronicling the creation of the show’s most ambitious and complicated season.”
The documentary will be roughly two hours in length and will air one week after the series finale. Does this sound up your alley? Let us know down below!
