“Everybody wants to be a cat.” If reincarnation were real, that’s what I would want to reincarnate as, the lazy indoor cat. I didn’t like the movie, The Aristocats, but that line is true for me. Disney has taken many Disney classics and created live-action adaptations. Now, they want to do a live-action film of The Aristocats.
I’m not a fan of this Disney classic. I didn’t like the music and the kittens are annoying, especially Marie. Also, I think the story takes from Lady and the Tramp and 101 Dalmatians. I love those two movies, so I don’t need this one. The probability of this film’s success is already low in my opinion and I don’t like many of Disney’s live-action adaptations. Call me a pessimist if you’d like. I do love being proven wrong so I hope I am and it’s a success. I just don’t see it happening.
The Synopsis Of The Aristocats
When a retired opera singer leaves her inheritance to her cat, Duchess (Eva Gabor), and three kittens, the woman’s butler drugs the cats and abandons them in the countryside in order to inherit the fortune himself. Lost in unfamiliar territory, Duchess and the kittens meet Thomas O’Malley (Phil Harris), an alley cat willing to help them return to their home in Paris. They meet several kooky characters along the way, including two English geese and an alley cat jazz band.

Disney and Pixar’s Turning Red is going straight to Disney+ on March 10, so I have a feeling the live-action The Aristocats will follow suit.
