Unfriended: Dark Web Trailer – Explore The Dark Side Of The Net

A few years back, Universal put out the found footage horror film Unfriended. It was told pretty much exclusively over a Skype chat between friends and quickly devolved into kind of a typical horror film. While not exactly a classic, the movie knew its audience and still managed to take in around 63% on Rotten Tomatoes.

More importantly, the movie was made for $1 million and reaped in over $60 million in revenue. In true Blumhouse fashion, it was a low budget, high concept that almost guaranteed its profitability. And while silly, it’s still kind of a fun movie to check out.

Well, now you can add another movie to the list, as BH Tilt has dropped a trailer for the film titled Unfriended: Dark Web. This is not to be confused with the upcoming LRM-produced series Dark/Web, though even I had to do a bit of a double-take (For more on that, CLICK HERE). This is kind of the same premise as the original in terms of the Skype chat, only this one shows one of the friends with a stolen laptop.

He digs into that laptop only to find shady videos from the Dark Web, and this very quickly (somehow) leads to the owner of the laptop coming into the chat and putting these kids through hell. It looks ridiculous, it looks stupid, and I so want to see it…what about you?
