Valiant Entertainment’s 2020 FCBD Cover Features Vin Diesel’s Bloodshot

We still are about half a month away from starting a new decade and we already have a cover for 2020’s edition of Free Comic Book Day that takes place on May 2nd, 2020. Thanks to Valiant Entertainment we can now share the cover for their offering for that day. You can check it out below!

As you can see the cover features none other than the lead in the upcoming film from Sony Pictures Entertainment Bloodshot, Vin Diesel who plays Ray Garrison aka Bloodshot. What is insetting about this choice in cover is that the film is scheduled to hit theaters in February a few months before Free Comic Book Day. Yet they are still going with very general photo of Diesel that doesn’t make it at all unique from anything else he has been featured in.

As for the interior of the book it includes two captivating original stories. The first is a Bloodshot story written by Tim Seeley with artwork by Jason Masters. The second one features an X-O Manowar story by one of my favorite comic book writers, Joshua Dysart with artwork by Doug Braithwaite. Along with the two stories it will also features a look at their Valiant 2020: The Year of Heroes lineup.

“This year’s FCBD book is a celebration of what makes Valiant great,” stated Senior Editorial Director Robert Meyers. “Epic storytelling, cutting edge art, and a book that is accessible to readers new and old.”

Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Bloodshot is set to be released February 21st, 2020 and Free Comic Book Day takes place on May 2nd, 2020 at participating comic book shops across the country.
