Well, this is turning out to be quite the week for the non-Marvel Studios pictures, isn’t it? Earlier today, we saw the Deadpool 2 trailer drop (and that’s in addition to the viral marketing we saw), and now we have a tease for the upcoming Venom film, starring Tom Hardy.

Despite some of the peeks behind the scenes we’ve had of the film, there’s no denying there’s still an air of mystery about it. Well, that mystery may be coming to an end — at least slightly. Today, Sony dropped a cool poster for the flick. Check it out below:

But that’s not all we have to look forward to. Tomorrow, we can expect a trailer for Venom to follow. With that, we’ll have our first taste of the actual style and tone of the story. Back during Brazil CCXP, Hardy promised that we’d be getting some real action and dark humor, and we certainly hope that is the case in the upcoming trailer.

Like the Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer before it, a lot of anticipation will hinge on how this trailer is received by fans.

Directing the film is Zombieland helmer Ruben Fleischer. Set to star alongside Hardy are Riz Ahmed, Michelle Williams, and Woody Harrelson.

What do you think of this poster, and are you excited for the upcoming trailer? Let us know your thoughts down below!

Venom hits theaters on October 5, 2018.
