It wasn’t that long ago that fans of HBO‘s Deadwood had little to no hope of the series ever being given a proper ending. Similar to how Star Wars fans felt before 2012. Talk of a Deadwood flew around the movie news world for years with nothing ever coming of it until, what was it, about a year and a half ago?
After the long wait today was the day fans received a trailer for the film, actual visual proof that the film is indeed on the way. If you’re a fan of the show this trailer will both confirm to fans once and for all that there really is a Deadwood film coming, and from what we see in the trailer (which you can watch just up yonder there), it looks to be a damn good film. Chances are if you’re a Deadwood fan and you were on the fence about the film, this trailer has put your mind at ease.

While the show was well written, and excelled in other technical areas, making it another must watch HBO series, one of it’s more widely know qualities was the colorful language of the show. The characters on the show used a variety of vulgarity. While the world’s most popular profane word being the most used, they also had a less commonly used word that they all really seemed to enjoy saying, I can’t exactly tell you, but if you’re a fan of the show, you already know.
You can check out a description of the film below.
“The indelible characters of the show are reunited after a decade to celebrate South Dakota’s statehood. Former rivalries are reignited, alliances are tested and old wounds reopened as all are left to navigate the inevitable changes that modernity and time have wrought.”
