Vision Quest Disney+ Show In Development | [UPDATE] Confirmed

The latest Barside Buzz from Marvel says Fantastic Four starts filming August and has Franklin Richards, plus there's no Vision till 2026.

According to a new rumor, Marvel has a Vision Quest Disney+ show in development. The show as you’d guess would be led by Paul Bettany’s White Vision. Thew news comes from Jeff Snider who is currently on a high after being first to claim (correctly) Harrison Ford was replacing William Hurt General Ross in the MCU following Hurt’s passing.

[UPDATE] This story has now been confirmed by Deadline!

So that’s another win for Sneider.

A second WandaVision spinoff series focusing on Paul Bettany’s Vision is in the works at Marvel Studios for Disney+, sources tell Deadline.

Titled Vision Quest, the potential series, which is opening a writers room next week, will be about The Vision (Bettany) trying to regain his memory and humanity, I hear. While the focus is on Vision, word is there is a possibility for Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) to appear, which would make sense given how interconnected the two characters’ stories are in the MCU.

Original Story Below

Sneider appeared as usual on The Hot Mic with Jeff and John and had this to say about what he’s heard.

I’m told that next week, Marvel will be opening a writers’ room for a Vision show titled ‘Vision Quest’.

Now Sneider does not appear to have any more detail as yet. Therefore we have to assume this is a project intended for Phase 5 or 6 of the MCU. However Sneider was very confident in his source for this one. Honestly it all makes perfect sense anyway. After the end of WandaVision I think it was clear to everyone that White Vision would return. Sneider also says he currently has no idea whether the show will adapt elements from the comic of the same name or not. As you well know by now, Marvel doesn’t adapt the comics as much as they use them for inspiration.

It will be interesting to see where this version of Vision goes as a character. Vision 1.0 became more Human as his arc developed, however White Vision began far less self conscious than the first version. However it was also clear that this dawn of self had begun in White Vision. Perhaps ‘Vision Quest’ represents that he is out exploring who he is and what role he should fulfill?

Whatever direction the character takes, it looks like the next part of his story is being hashed out right now. What do you think of the rumor that Marvel has a Vision Quest Disney+ show in development? As always, leave any thoughts below.
