Jamison Newlander will always have a place for the horror genre in his heart. After all, he made his mark in show business as a teen with Corey Feldman as one of the two Frog brothers in The Lost Boys. Now, he returned to the horror genre with Waking Nightmare.

The film stars Pitch Perfect actress Shelley Regner as a young woman with a bad sleepwalking habit. Newlander and 80s iconic actress Diane Franklin (Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure) support her as the loving parents, who are very protective of their child. The rest of the cast included Yan Birch (The People Under The Stairs), Stephen Wu (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), and Every Heart (Return to Me).

Here is a brief description of the film:

Jordan suffered manic episodes after the loss of her friend. Her mother has a family doctor prescribe her Ambien to help with her sleepwalking. As time goes on, Jordan has issues remembering what happened.

LRM Online’s Gig Patta chatted with actor Jamison Newlander on his approach and return to the horror genre. We talked about acting as a teen and working with a young actress like Shelley Regner. Also, we discussed being an 80s icon with Diane Franklin, his family, and being on the convention circuit to meet with fans.

Jamison Newlander is best known as one of the two vampire-hunting brothers in The Lost Boys and Lost Boys: The Thirst with Corey Feldman. He also appeared in the 1988 remake of The Blob. His other past projects included appearing in Valerie, Circle: of Violence: A Family Drama, and a cameo in The Tale of Two Coreys.
