WandaVision To Reportedly Feature X-Men’s Evan Peters | LRM’s Barside Buzz

X-Men‘s Evan Peters joining WandaVision? Read on.

It’s actually quite amazing that studios can still keep secrets during production. Given the size of film crews and the speed of the internet, it seems like surprises wouldn’t be able to happen anymore. But, interestingly enough, they still happen. While it doesn’t sound like this surprise made it into theaters, it is impressive they managed to get through production without this coming out until now. What am I talking about? I’m talking about WandaVision.

The Disney+ Marvel Studios series has already finished its production — whether or not it will hit the streamer this year remains to be seen though. But if you were in need of some cool news, here you go. According to Murphy’s Multiverse, actor Evan Peters will be featured in the mind-bending streaming show. If you’re a fan of comic book movies, this is a move that will likely both excite and confuse you.

Of course, Peters is well known for bringing the role of Quicksilver to the big screen in the now-dead X-Men movies. As such, this is sure to be a confusing thing. Quicksilver was also portrayed in the MCU — by Aaron Taylor-Johnson — so the idea of bringing him back would be an odd one. But, let’s bat down expectations right away. There is no evidence that Peters is reprising his role as Pietro Maximoff — at least not yet.

Yes, there have already been rumors that Taylor-Johnson would be returning as Pietro, but as recently as last year, Taylor-Johnson himself seemed to debunk that possibility. I suppose there are a few possibilities. One, that Taylor-Johnson is lying and will return as Quicksilver — and Peters is playing someone else. Two, that Quicksilver is back, but will be played by Peters. Three, that Quicksilver isn’t back, and that Peters will be playing someone else.

Sadly, there are no real solid details about who Peters is actually playing, so it can go in any direction. The outlet goes on to speculate that it could be in a villain role of sorts, but nothing is said for certain. What we do is know is that he was cast last year and went on to film fairly quickly after.

So, what do you think? Who could Evan Peters be playing in WandaVision? Let us know your thoughts down below!
