Do you folks remember the Deadpool 2 after credits scene, specifically the scene with Green Lantern? It was brutal right? Well, Warner Bros has a message of their own for Ryan Reynolds, a happy birthday message! Yes, it appears there are no hard feelings from DC and they took the time to send a shout out to Reynolds. Of course, the majority of us think, or rather know that Green Lantern was just an awful movie. Reynolds acknowledged as much in the Deadpool post-credits scene where he had the Merc with the Mouth, while utilizing a time travel device, stops himself from ever playing Green Lantern, by simply shooting him in the back of the head.
Nobody’s perfect, and Reynolds has more than made up for Green Lantern by giving fans two very good Deadpool films, and hopefully, there will be more of Deadpool to come in the future, as well as a new take on Green Lantern. We can chalk up Reynolds version of Green Lantern to one of those cases where “It seemed like a good idea at the time.”
