Warner Bros. May Be Exploring Wonder Woman Spinoff Following Amazons

Did those early minutes of Wonder Woman fill you with…wonder? And I don’t just mean because of the superhero herself, but the world of Themyscira as a whole. It was a gorgeous island with plenty of other interesting non-Diana Amazons to follow. At least it sounds like that’s what Warner Bros. could be hoping for.

This past weekend saw the release of the Wonder Woman 1984 trailer at Brazil’s CCXP, and director Patty Jenkins was there to speak with outlets about the future of the franchise, where she apparently revealed an interesting tidbit.

The news comes courtesy of Miguel Morales, a Brazilian journalist, who tweeted out the following:

“Yes, Patty Jenkins confirmed that WB is developing a movie focused on the Amazons! She will not direct, but will work as executive producer! No further details.”

This isn’t the only odd spinoff Warner Bros. has been considering. IF you’ll recall, they’re also working on a spinoff following the Trench, which played a role in 2018’s Aquaman. I honestly have no idea what either film will actually do, but we’ll see what the studio tries to throw at us.
